How to digitally blend photos in Photoshop

In this article I am going to show you a very easy way to digital blend photos

Here is the final result of my digital blending done in Photoshop and Lightroom:

Step 1. First I take three photos from the same angle, an overexposed photo, an underexposed photo and a normal exposure.

Step 2. I do my usual retouch on the normal exposure photo, and then I retouch the underexposed photo for the highlight and the underexposed photo for the shadows:

Step 3. Once they are retouched, I right click > open as layer in Photoshop. Now I create a black mask on the normal exposure and I take a brush, make sure that white is my foreground color and I brush over the part I want to be brighter, flow and opacity around 40%:

Step 4. Now that I am happy with blending, I merge the two layers. I put a white mask over it and I take a brush, make sure that black is the foreground color and I brush over the water and the rocks to make the overexposed photo appear:

Step 5. I double process the photo in Lightroom and here is final result:
